The Rx3 program provides a framework for diagnosis and management of common musculoskeletal injuries in the military. Rx3 includes an easy-to-follow algorithm that alerts providers to conditions that may require a specialty evaluation and a stepwise, self-care rehabilitation program for the patient. The patient rehab program involves a combination of injury-specific and core-strengthening exercises, cardiovascular endurance training, and flexibility work designed to increase functional capacity, improve range of motion, decrease symptoms of pain, and ultimately return the patient to full duty.
Use the downloadable Patient Prescription Pad below to direct your patients to the appropriate section of Rx3’s Service Member resources.
The Rx3 algorithms are intended for use by medical professionals only. Do not attempt to self-diagnose any injury or medical condition.
