The Warrior Heat- and Exertion-Related Events Collaborative (WHEC) is a tri-service advisory group that includes the Multidisciplinary Clinical Review Committee (MDCRC), which is made up of DoD leaders, researchers, and clinicians. WHEC is dedicated to collaboratively advancing the science and the DHA Clinical Practice Guidelines for preventing, mitigating, risk stratifying, and improving the management of exertional injuries and heat illness.
The resources in this section are gathered to help inform users—especially healthcare and emergency personnel—about the methods available to prevent, manage, and treat heat illness and related conditions among Service Members.
