This Air Force Medical Service booklet is “designed to be a quick reference resource for Airmen who are faced with or have observed a fellow wingman facing stressors or changing demands that have the potential for escalating into more serious problems. Geared towards Commanders, it includes information on specific life challenges, interventions, deployment, and resilience, with a view to overcoming barriers to seeking support. Commander Directed Evaluations (CDE) include actions to help determine whether an Airman’s behavior suggests a mental health problem in need of duty limitation or medical evaluation.
